Meet Drew Snyder, LPC, NCC
Guest Faculty – Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy at Bodhi Academy
Drew embarked on a personal journey of growth and healing from the psychological and existential wounds of war from his past military service. Along the way, he was coached and guided in discovering many tools for more holistic health, as well as creating existential meaning to help him deal with the suffering he encountered. He now works to pass these tools of healing and growth on to others.
Drew is based in Ashland, Oregon - America's first legal psilocybin state - and specializes in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. He received comprehensive training in this field through IPI in conjunction with MAPS, as well as being a graduate of Bodhi Academy. He currently serves as the Head of Psilocybin Practicum at Integrative Psychiatry Institute's Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy training program.
Drew's passion lies in exploring the efficacy of non-ordinary states of consciousness to facilitate healing from trauma, addiction, depression, and mental distress. In his private counseling practice, he draws primarily from existential meaning-centered therapy to support holistic healing, focusing especially on helping individuals from any background heal from trauma as well as anxiety and depression. Drew is also passionate about couples therapy, believing that relationships are paramount in life.
